For countless generations, Traditional Owners have cared for Martuwarra and its vast catchment according to First Law and Indigenous Science. Today, this living river system is under increasing pressure from extractive development including from gas and water extraction.

We have a choice about what happens next.
We can choose to protect Martuwarra for generations to come, or allow new extractive industries to put Living Waters, Country and communities at risk.

We are calling on WA Premier Roger Cook to protect Martuwarra from fracking and unjust water take.

We are calling on the WA Government to:

Protect Martuwarra and its catchment from extractive development, including mining, fracking, gas development and unsustainable water extraction.
Respect the authority and knowledge of Traditional Owners in decisions affecting Martuwarra.
Support Traditional Owner-led, sustainable economies that care for Country and create lasting livelihoods for communities across the catchment.

The future of Martuwarra should be determined by those who have cared for it for generations with the wellbeing of the River and future
generations at its heart.
